English for exams

IELTS and TOEFL preparation is one of my teaching directions. Both of these exams are a way to assess the level of English proficiency. These are international exams for foreigners who do not speak English like a native. IELTS or TOEFL certificate is a required document for admission to oversea universities and to work abroad. A special language level is demanded to successfully pass the exams.

In my preparation for TOEFL and IELTS, I take into account the initial English level of the student. My students are both adults and high school students planning their studies in college or university abroad. The language course is elaborated for each student individually, and its duration and intensity depend on the initial English level, goals and deadlines.

I also prepare students for the local English language finals and entrance exams in local schools and universities of some countries.

In the classes, we analyze and learn all examination sections:

• Listening — the ability to perceive English language speech by ear, find a main idea, identify important details, complete the tasks based on listened fragments. 
• Reading — the ability to understand the text and answer questions about its content.
• Grammar — the level of proficiency in grammatical structures, the ability to find the correct answer, identify mistakes and figure out trick questions.
• Writing — writing essays on a topic, formal and informal letters, and so on.
• Speaking — the ability to express your idea orally, taking the grammar rules and using a variety of vocabulary.

The course curriculum includes only those topics, phrases, vocabulary and grammar rules that a student needs to successfully pass a particular exam. All lessons are based on real tasks and exam templates.
